About the Role
The Sr. Accounts Executive – L2 will be responsible for managing employee reimbursements, vendor payment processing, and accounting & bookkeeping for Mauritius entities. The role includes invoice verification, accounting entries, bank reconciliation, and compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Employee Reimbursements
Review employee reimbursement claims as per company policy.
Verify supporting documents (invoices, bills, approvals).
Ensure policy compliance and approval workflow.
Process reimbursement entries in the accounting system.
Coordinate with HR and employees for missing documents.
Maintain reimbursement tracker and reports.
Ensure timely reimbursement payments.
2. Payment Processing
Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
Verify invoices, approvals, and supporting documents.
Prepare payment sheets and upload payments in bank portal.
Maintain payment tracker and due date schedule.
Coordinate with management for payment approvals.
Record payment entries in accounting software.
Vendor reconciliation and balance confirmation.
3. Mauritius Accounting
Maintain books of accounts for Mauritius entities.
Pass journal entries, AP, AR, bank entries.
Monthly bank reconciliation.
Intercompany accounting and reconciliation.
Assist in monthly closing and reporting.
Support audit and provide required schedules.
Ensure compliance with Mauritius accounting and statutory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
3–5 years of accounting experience.
Experience in reimbursements, AP, payments, and bookkeeping.
Knowledge of accounting software (Tally / Other accounting software like QuickBooks / Xero / Zoho / NetSuite etc.).
Good Excel skills.
Attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to handle multiple entities and deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Reimbursements processed within TAT.
Vendor payments.
Bank reconciliation completion on time.
Accuracy in accounting entries.
Audit queries closure.
Vendor and employee query resolution time.
